Biography

Korina Jochim specializes in the treatment of sex and love addiction, as well as running the program for partners of sex and love addicts at SRI. She is trained in chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment through Verdugo Mental Health’s Positive Directions program, which served both court-mandated and self-referred clients. An advocate of trauma prevention, Korina volunteers her time to The Maple Center Crisis Response Team, which serves county sheriff and fire departments as well as city police departments.

Korina is trained in working with military service members and their families on issues of trauma and adjustment pre- and post-deployment. She works primarily from a cognitive-behavioral theoretical orientation, also incorporating mindfulness, attachment, object relations, and existential/humanistic viewpoints. Korina received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
